How much can we derive our solution from already existing open sources projects?

Hello, this will be my first question, and i was wondering if there are limits in the use of already existing open source code? how much can we derive our hackaton proposal from already existing open source projects? is it considered bad practice? Should we just rewrite the whole code and base ourselves on already existing architectures?
Thanks
thank you

Hi Yann, That is a very interesting question! There isn't a clear-cut answer on "how much" can be derived from existing open source projects. The project you build can be newly built or pre-existing, however, if pre-existing it should be completely new to the XDC Network. The project also must "Be the original work of the submitter," and we take plagiarism pretty seriously so be sure to source what you used and make your project unique in some way.

Influencers in social media are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. They make regular posts about that topic on their preferred social media channels and generate large followers of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views. https://g.co/kgs/JeRJNe?fbclid=IwAR24eUdwZ4ear1bH-PInjWx7o_yUeQowNlkJuIzFOd7lQC1N-AL-QQqKQq0
